Securing this prestigious designation takes experience, knowledge, and training - including the ability to pass the rigorous CPP Examination. Certified Protection Professionals must perform their professional duties in accordance with the law and the highest moral principles, and must be recertified every three years.

Professional Certified Investigator
The PCI board certification is awarded to individuals whose primary responsibilities are to conduct investigations and who have demonstrated in-depth operational knowledge and competence in the areas of case management, evidence collection, and case presentation. Like the CPP, the PCI is confirmation of expertise and competence, and securing it takes experience, knowledge, and training, including the ability to pass a rigorous examination. Professional Certified Investigators must perform their professional duties in accordance with the law and the highest moral principles, and must be recertified every three years.

Physical Security Professional
The PSP certification is awarded to security professionals whose primary responsibility is to conduct threat surveys; design integrated security systems that include equipment, procedures, and people; or install, operate, and maintain those systems. The PSP is confirmation of expertise and competence, and securing it takes experience, knowledge, and training, including the ability to pass a rigorous examination covering the assessment, selection and implementation of physical security measures. Physical Security Professionals must perform their professional duties in accordance with the law and the highest moral principles, and must be recertified every two years.

National Technical Investigators Association (NATIA)
Certified Technical Investigator
NATIA is an organization of current and retired sworn law enforcement officers involved in the support of law enforecement operations utilizing electronic technologies. CTI certification is awarded to NATIA members who have undergone extensive specialized training and have passed a rigourous examination in technical electronic surveillance techniques, procedures, equipment, and related issues. Continued advanced education is required.
